The name MB Quart has always been synonymous with high-end car audio. The Reference series carries on the tradition of ultra-high quality and delivers components with unparalleled sound quality at a reasonable price. Designed in Germany and handmade in the USA of only the finest materials. All MB Quart Reference Series subwoofers feature a massive cast aluminum chassis which supports a powerful yet compact magnet assembly with removable protective boot. The single piece solid cones use a mineral-based polypropylene to withstand the harsh automotive environment and deliver smooth distortion-free accuracy and explosive bass. By adding minerals to the polypropylene, MB Quart adds rigidity, lightens the cone by displacing the polypropylene, and adds the ability to tune the cone for its intended frequency range. This cone is then attached to an inverted butyl rubber surround that won't deteriorate from the sun and moisture. As with their "Premium Series" counterparts: the Reference series also features tinsel leads which are integrated into the spider for longer excursion. Voice Coils are kept cool through a 360° vent, in addition to a pole piece vent. All woofers from 8" to 15" are available in 2 ohm dual voice coil and 4 ohm dual voice coil configurations to ensure compatibility with any amplifier.
